A lawsuit is being filed by a group of people opposing a hog operation in Cooper County.

The lawsuit is being filed by Opponents of Cooper County against the Cooper County Commission for allegedly violating the Sunshine Law with meeting and records concerning a large Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation being proposed near Clark, Missouri.

The Cooper County Commissioner David Booker says the county is in full compliance with the Sunshine Laws.

The lawsuit contains four counts of violations and is seeking a the maximum five thousand dollar penalty per violation.
