CHAMOIS MAN CHARGED IN ATTEMPTED BANK ROBBERY

A Chamois man is facing charges in connection with an attempted bank robbery.

According to the Osage County Sheriff’s Office 28 year old Timothy L. Pruitt entered the Heritage Community Bank in Chamois on Saturday morning appearing intoxicated and began causing a disturbance.

Police say that Pruitt then wrote a note giving it to a teller and demanding money, and when the teller tried to activate the silent alarm, Pruitt warned her not to touch it.

Deputies say they went to his residence and tried to arrest him and Pruitt kicked a deputy.

Charges include Felony Attempted Stealing, Resisting Arrest, and Misdemeanor Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.
