A Jefferson City man is being held in the Cole County Jail after an arrest for an incident at the St. Joseph Cathedral Parish Office.

According to police an investigation has been ongoing for an incident that happened early Monday morning where 43 year old James Smith fired a handgun through a glass office door of the church.

Smith was located and arrested for felonious Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
