Over 102 signatures are on a petition asking for an audit of New Bloomfield.

A group called the Concerned Citizens of the City of New Bloomfield delivered the signatures at the State Audior’s Office on Tuesday.

The group says the main request for an audit was due the city making cuts to the police department because of budgetary issues.

Earlier this year New Bloomfield’s Chief of Police resigned stating he was asked to resign due to speaking with media without permission.

The city council claims the resignation was for personal reasons.

The New Bloomfield City Council has a monthly meeting scheduled for tonight (Thursday).
