New Bloomfield will be looking for a new city clerk after the current city clerk Cassidi Knierim turned in her resignation on Friday.

According to minutes from a work session by the New Bloomfield Board of Alderman on April 5th, Knierim says she is leaving for employment with the city to accept another position.

According to her resignation letter this will take effect on Friday, April 20th.

A group of citizens who collected signatures for an audit of the city earlier last week say they were blind-sided by the information, as the board of alderman made no mention of the resignation in its monthly board meeting last week on Thursday.
