Governor Greiten’s Lawyer Sends Letter Asking MO Attorney for Recusal in Investigation

An attorney for Missouri Governor Eric Greitens is asking that Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley recuse his office on an investigation of a veterans charity founded by Greitens.

In a letter attorney Edward L. Dowd Jr. brought up concerns over Hawley’s statement last week urging the governors resignation.

The letter goes on to say that Hawley’s investigation is “clearly compromised” because he has “predetermined the guilt of his own investigative target.”

The attorney general’s office has not yet commented on the lawyers letter.
