PETA Protest on University of Missouri Campus

Members of the group PETA or People for Ethical Treatment of Animals took to the University Of Missouri Campus yesterday (Tuesday) for a protest.

The protesters are against animal research at the University saying that Muscular Dystrophy research done on animals at the University has yet to produce any groundbreaking results and makes innocent animals suffer.

According to a spokesperson for the University of Missouri animal research is done when there is no other way to get questions answered and the university follows a strict and robust protocol and the research has found a cure for Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy.

The protest by PETA yesterday (Tuesday) was part of an effort to create awareness about World Day for Laboratory
