Governor Eric Greitens is responding after prosecutors decide to drop the invasion of privacy charge against him.

In a statement yesterday Gretiens said “this was a great victory and a long time coming.

I’ve said from the beginning that I am innocent.

Assistant St. Louis Circuit Attorney Ronald Sullivan announced they would drop charges against the governor yesterday in court after the third day of jury selection.

Prosecutors report they still play to pursue the case, and will look to get a special prosecutor appointed.
