The Audrain County Clerk’s office confirmed today [Friday] Emergency Management Director, Steven Shaw, is on administrative leave.

According to Major Brice Mesko with Mexico Public Safety, Shaw was allegedly involved in 2 disturbances that took place on Monroe street near the square on May 8th, but Shaw was not arrested.

Mesko said the incident is still under investigation, and investigators are speaking with everyone involved.

No charges have been filed in relation to the disturbances.
