A New Bloomfield group is moving forward with a petition for a state audit.

According to the Committed Citizens of New Bloomfield they submitted more than enough signatures yesterday(Thursday) to move ahead with the petition.

Yesterday (Thursday) marked the final day to remove signatures from the audit.

According to the group they have submitted 30 signatures more to the 89 originally put in the first round of petitioning.

In April the group was 11 signatures short of the required 100 for the audit.

Once the state auditors office verifies there are enough signatures the petition will go to the Callaway County clerk for verification.
