Centralia Chief of Police Larry Dudgeon will be resigning from his position effective June 1st.
Centralia Mayor Tim Grenke says the city council accepted his resignation last (Monday) night.
A reason for the resignation was not given by Mayor Grenke, although he said Chief Dudgeon did a great job over the past 11 years.
Mayor Grenke says they will post the opening and will start looking to fill the position immediately, hoping to hire a new chief by the end of June.
