Hundreds Without Power During Outage in Columbia on Memorial Day

A tripped circuit is the cause of a power outage in Columbia yesterday (Monday) that effected about 360 customers of Columbia Water and Light.

According to reports a burnt riser behind Ruby Tuesday near the Columbia Mall caused the tripped circuit.

The outage effected traffic lights in the area of I-70 Drive Southwest, Business Loop 70 West and Stadium Boulevard.

Utility crews fixed the issue and power was restored by 1 o’clock.
