Mexico Man Arrested For Second Degree Burglary

A Mexico man is facing charges of Second Degree Robbery after an arrest Saturday night where he allegedly punched another man and took his money and other things.

According to Mexico Public Safety it happened just before 2:30 Saturday morning in the 600 block of Wade Street.

Police say the victim was a 55 year old man from Indiana who was in town for the holiday weekend and at a local bar buying drinks when he was invited to a private party where he was assaulted.

Public Safety reports arresting 36 year old Teron A. Belcher and taking him to the Audrain County Jail for booking.

The victim did go for medical treatment for his injuries.
