Mike Parson is now the 57th governor of Missouri after being sworn in last (Friday) night at 5:30.
Parson said earlier in the week his first objective will be to reassure Missourians the state’s government is ready to move forward.
He is a 62 year old small business owner and the former sheriff of Polk County.
Described as a conservative, and on his website says he is 100 percent pro-life and a supporter of the National Rifle Association.
He was elected Lieutenant Governor of the state in 2016 with the most votes any Missouri Lieutenant governor candidate has ever received.
