Two Vandalia Residents with Injuries After Police Pursuit

A police pursuit early yesterday (Sunday) morning in Pike County has left two Vandalia residents with injuries.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol 40 year old Mark A. Teague failed to yield to Vandalia Police while he was riding his motorcycle and a pursuit ensued.

Teague attempted to make a right turn from Route V onto Pike County Road 447, when the motorcycle began to skid and overturned, ejecting Teague and his passenger 46 year old Shari J. Love.

She was treated and released at the scene while Teague had to be flown to the University Hospital with serious injuries.
