Little Dixie is reporting two fires from yesterday (Wednesday).
The first was around 1:42 yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon on Highway 22 from Thompson to Centralia.
It was a natural cover fire that originated from a passing train starting grass on fire and spreading.
It was quickly put out and no injuries or other damage was reported.
The second fire happened around 6:30 last (Wednesday) night at Audrain Road 341 and 322.
Little Dixie reports it was a natural cover fire that was slow moving over 12 acres.
Fire fighters made a quick attack and brought under control.
Investigators say the fire originated from an old hay bale the owner had burnt a week ago that had ignited and spread to the 12 acres.
No injuries reported.
