The farm bill is now moving onto the United States Senate after passing the house.
Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler says the bill has a couple of amendments she added addressing rural broadband.
Hartzler says 80 percent of the farm bill deals with the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program that used to be known as food stamps.
There was no democratic support for the farm bill in the Congress.
Hartzler says she is hopeful to get the bill finalized by the end of September when the current bill expires.
