Hannibal Police Investigate Animal Cruelty

The Hannibal Police Department is asking for help in identifying a person in an animal abuse case.

Officers were called to the 2900 block of Market Street today [Friday] after a cat was found to have been shot with an arrow, and also had numerous other wounds.

The cat is currently being treated by a local veterinarian, and no prognosis is available at this time.

Anyone with information related to this animal cruelty case is encouraged to call the police department.
