Four Arrested In Shooting Incident in Vandalia

Four people have been charged after a shooting incident in Vandalia on June 27.

According to a probable cause statement, on July 5, officers said 17 year old Brent Borders-Fugate admitted he was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 19 year old Dominic Bennett. He said Bennett had an issue with 19 year old Andrew Clark over bad drugs.

On July 6, Clark appeared at the police station saying Borders-Fugate approached the passenger side of the vehicle to rob him, when Bennett approached from the driver side with a hand gun, and fired one shot just behind the drivers seat.

Borders-Fugate and Bennett, along with 24 year old Steven Houchins and 18 year old Brennan Harvey were all arrested in this incident.
