Bill to Rename Columbia Post Office After Fallen War Hero Moving Ahead

A bill to name a Columbia post office after a fallen Army specialist and Rock Bridge High School graduate is now headed to the Senate.

The bill presented by Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler would honor the memory of Specialist Sterling William Wyatt by naming the Columbia Post Office at 511 east Walnut after him.

Wyatt was killed in Afghanistan when his vehicle was hit by an IED on July 11th, 2012.

The U.S. House of Representatives passed the bill yesterday (Monday) it now goes to the Senate for consideration.
