University Of Missouri Police Arrest Man For Making False Report

A Columbia man is facing charges of filing a false police report after an arrest yesterday (Tuesday).

According to the University of Missouri Police Department 28 year old Rex Albert Monroe reported a robbery near Hospital Drive and when police arrived Monroe made conflicting statements about the timeline of events and items taken and the location of the vehicles involved.

An MU alert was issued because of Monroe’s initial report.
