Hannibal Schools Adding Third Resource Officer

The Hannibal Public Schools will be adding a third resource officer.

The Hannibal Police Department reached an agreement with the school this week to provide a third officer starting beginning at the start of the new school year.

According to Hannibal Police Chief Lyndell Davis he has had many conversations about school safety with a lot of other communities since the Parkland, Florida school shooting in February.

According to the agreement the city of Hannibal will split the cost of the resource with the Hannibal School District.
