Jefferson City Fiscal Year 19 Budget Being Considered by Council

The Jefferson City Fiscal Year 19 budget is being considered by the city council.

Details were unveiled at last (Monday) nights council meeting.

According to Mayor Carrie Tergin the budget is conservative this year with direction from the council to keep things frugal, while trying to maintain certain levels of services without spending too much.

It is being said the police department will likely only get two new vehicles this year.

The city council has until November 1st to approve the budget, however they are predicted to vote on it before the end of September.
