Missouri Ameren Electric Rate Cut Begins Today
A six percent rate cut for electric customers of Ameren Missouri begins today (Wednesday).
According to company officials the one hundred sixty seven million dollar rate cut is the first substantial cut in over 10 years.
A savings of seventy five dollars for an average residential customer using around one thousand or twelve hundred kilowatts is estimated.
An Ameren spokesperson is crediting the savings to the federal corporate tax cuts passed in December of last year (2017).
