Brookstone’s Mexico Location Will Not Be Immediately Effected In Bankruptcy
On the heels of the announcement that Brookstone has declared chapter 11 bankruptcy today [Thursday] and will be closing all stores located in malls nationwide, the company says the move will not effect their distribution location right now.
KWWR contacted Brookstone to find out how the call center and distribution center in Mexico would be impacted in the bankruptcy.
A statement from Brookstone representative, Sydney Isaacs, said “The company will continue to evaluate staffing needs as usual, including in response to seasonal changes, but does not expect to close the facility in Mexico, MO or reduce its headcount there at this time.”
The company will continue to run website sales and the 35 airport stores will remain open.
