Car Chase Cause of Modified Lock Down at Five Columbia Schools

Five Schools on a modified lock down this (Wednesday) morning due to a police chase through areas east of Columbia.

It started around 9 along several country roads south of I-70 and east Highway 63, ending in the El Caparral area a little while later.

One person that has yet to be identified was arrested.

According to Columbia Public Schools Cedar Ridge, New Haven, and Battle Elementary, along with Battle High School, and the old Cedar Ridge building on Roseta Avenue all were on modified lock down where no one was allowed in or out of the buildings.
