New Website Promotes Missouri Spending Transparency
Missouri Treasurer Eric Schmitt announced a new website that will promote transparency in state spending.
Schmitt held a press conference today [Tuesday] announcing showmecheckbook.mo.gov. The website is a single location to get information about expenditures, revenue, payroll. liabilities and cash flow.
The website draws information from 20 million data points, and thousands more are added each day. The site currently dates back to 2007.
