Wanted Fugitive From Jefferson County Arrested in Columbia
A wanted fugitive considered to be armed and dangerous is now in police custody after running from authorities in Columbia and crashing his vehicle last (Wednesday) night.
Columbia Police say they were contacted by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office asking for help in apprehending Ted Nathan Treece who was under house arrest and wearing a tracking ankle bracelet.
Treece was found in the area of Buttonwood and Gray Oak in Columbia and fled from police when they attempted to stop his vehicle.
Treece lost control and crashed his vehicle on I-70 near Lake of the Woods.
After being arrested Treece was returned to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies.
