Colonel of Missouri Highway Patrol Announces Retirement Date

The current and first female to serve as Superintendent of the Missouri Highway Patrol is announcing her retirement.

Colonel Sandra K. Karsten announced today (Friday) that she will retire on September 1st.

She has served as a member of the highway patrol for the past 33 years, working as a road trooper in Audrain and Callaway Counties.

She was appointed the 23rd superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol on July 1st, 2017.
