Fulton Board of Education Sets Tax Rate

The operating tax rate for Fulton Schools is going up this year.

The Fulton Board of Education set the rate at $4.0083 which will result in the average property owner in Fulton paying around nine hundred dollars this year, compared to an average of 775.00 dollars last year.

Fulton Schools Superintendent Dr. Jacque Cowherd says the extra money is needed because an audit showed property value went down by 1.6 million dollars.
