Ameren Missouri Puts Forth $5 Million For Low Income Customers

Ameren Missouri has announced they have set aside $5 million to help low income customers with energy bills.

One million dollars of the funds will go to groups including the United Way and Heat-Up Missouri to help those hit by high summer temperatures.

The remaining $4 million will be distributed through 2020.

The money is coming from corporate earnings.

Ameren has also dropped electric rates by 6 percent in August.
