Jefferson City Man Sentenced In Federal Court

A Jefferson City man has been sentenced to 13 years without the possibility of parole in federal court today. [Tuesday]

Thirty four year old Ardaris Webb Cheatham plead guilty on April 17 to possessing marijuana with intent to distribute and discharging a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime.

Cheatham admitted that as investigators served a warrant on his house he fired one round at a SWAT team member as he retreated into the residence. The officer was not hit. Approximately 27 pounds of marijuana was found in various locations in the residence.
