Man Appeals Sentence in Harrisburg Deadly School Bus Crash

The man who crashed into a Harrisburg school bus and killed a teacher is now appealing his prison sentence according to court records.

27 year old Brandon Brill pleaded guilty in July to involuntary manslaughter and assault in a bus crash that killed Harrisburg school teacher and coach Brian Simpson.

He was sentenced in September to 15 years for involuntary manslaughter and seven years for assault.

According to court documents Brill says the crash was an accident and the 22 year sentence was too long, and he would like a shorter sentence to care for his family.

The next court date for him is scheduled for January 7th, next year.
