Missouri Mid Term Voter Recap

Republicans once again did very well in Missouri in the mid term election yesterday (Tuesday).

State Attorney Josh Hawley defeated Democratic incumbent Senator Claire McCaskill.

Hawley garnered around 59 percent of the vote to McCaskill’s 36 percent.

Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler retained her seat defeating Renee Hoagenson soundly 74 percent to 23 percent.

Democrat Nicole Galloway will continue to be the only Democrat elected to a statewide office in state government, she defeated Republican Saundra Mcdowell for Missouri Auditor narrowly 50 percent to 44 percent.

For State Senator Republican Jeanie Riddle retained her seat defeating challenger Ayanna Shivers 69% to 30.

In the seat that was open from Republican Jay Houghton retiring, it will remain Republican as Dr. Kent Hayden defeated Jamie Blair 71 percent to 28 percent.

Republican Cheri Toalson Reisch retains here seat at State Representative in District 44.

Sara Walsh defeated Democrat Michela Skelton for State Representative in District 50 74 percent to 25 percent.

Republican Chuck Bayse will remain the the District 47 State Representative he garnered 75 percent of the vote.
