Jefferson City Public Schools Looking Into To Changing Start and End Times Next Year

The Jefferson City Public Schools is looking at changing start and end times next year as a cost cutting measure.

Administrators are proposing to push back the start time one hour so buses can pick up a group of students and drop them off at school and then go back and take a second group to school.

The measure would decrease the number of buses and would drop costs from $88,500 to $49,000.

The district is asking for public feedback and will hold community presentations and question and answer sessions before moving forward.
