Short Power Outage in Downtown Columbia
Power is now restored to hundreds of customers in downtown Columbia after an outage this (Thursday) morning.
According to an outage map on the city of Columbia’s web site it started around 9:40 and lasted for about an hour this (Thursday) morning in an area that stretched from Providence and Rollins to Providence and I-70.
The outage impacted about 702 customers according to a Columbia Water and Light spokeswoman and the cause was due to an equipment problem.
Power was restored around 10:07.
