Governor Parson and State Senators Split On Bridge Project List
Missouri Governor Mike Parson and state senators are divided on a project list he has submitted for bridge repairs.
Parson said during his State of the State address earlier this month that he would like to see 250 bridges in the state fixed by borrowing 351 million dollars.
State senators from Missouri’s urban areas are saying too few bridges in their districts are slated for repair under the governor’s plan.
Parson told members of the Missouri Press Association yesterday (Thursday) he is not willing to budge much on the project list.
