Woman Charged With Murder and Arson In Death of Husband In Miller County

A woman is in the Miller County Detention Center accused of poisoning her husband and then starting a fire.

According to the Miller County Sheriff’s Office they received a call on December 11th last year (2018) reporting a house fire at 9 Janice Drive in Iberia.

The body of Joshua Murray was found in the residence.

The Missouri State Fire Marshall Investigator’s along with deputies determined the fire to be an arson.

An autopsy conducted by the Boone County Medical Examiner’s Office concluded that Joshua Murray was deceased prior to the fire and the cause of death was poisoning.

Detectives identified his wife Amy Murray as the suspect.

She was arrested and booked into the Miller County Jail yesterday (Thursday) on a seven hundred fifty thousand dollar bond.
