Moniteau County Sheriff’s Deputy Hit By Passing Car While Conducting Traffic Stop

A Moniteau County Sheriff’s Deputy is recovering from injuries after a passenger car driver hit him during a traffic stop yesterday (Thursday).

According to the crash report Deputy Jason Partin was conducting a traffic stop on Highway 5, south of Fortuna near Short Road, when he was hit by a 2017 Cadillac driven by 85 year old Norman Devore.

Partin and a passenger in the Cadillac Carolyn Devore were sent to area hospital with moderate injuries.

The injuries are considered non-life threatening.
