Higher Gas Prices Than Normal In Missouri

Gas prices in Missouri are higher than normal for this time of year.

According to a recent report from GasBuddy gas prices have went up by fifty cents per gallon since the beginning of the year.

In January the average price of gas was at $1.99 per gallon.

Illinois gas prices have also spiked up by sixty four cents.

The reason for the increase is due to a summer blend gas being produced at refinery’s which is said to be more expensive to make.

The prices are expected to be the same until around mid September.
