Flooding Causing Problem For Some Jefferson City and Columbia Motorists

The heavy rain is causing some motorists problems in Jefferson City and Columbia.

According to a Facebook post from the Jefferson City Fire Department a person was rescued from a car last (Tuesday) night after floodwater caused them to be stuck on South Boulevard.

The department reports a few streets in the Jefferson City are flooded including Oregon Street, South Boulevard and Ohio Street along Wears Creek.

Columbia firefighters went to a report of a vehicle stranded in floodwater on Blackfoot Road late last (Tuesday) night.

Officials say the woman was able to get out of her car and no injuries are being reported.
