City Of Mexico Approves Medical Marijuana Ordinance

The city of Mexico is the latest to approve an ordinance recognizing the Medical Marijuana industry and specify districts for dispensaries, cultivation, infused products and testing facilities in the city.

Mexico City Councilman Vicki Briggs says towns can not prohibit the facilities, however can regulate them to a degree.

Briggs says there are several applications that have been filled out for Medical Marijuana Operations to come to Mexico.

Applications are available through the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and cost six thousand dollars.
