Missouri Could Be First State Completely Without Abortion Clinic

Missouri may be the first state in the nation to go completely without a health center that provides abortions according to Planned Parenthood.

A news conference took place this (Tuesday) morning to discuss the situation.

Planned Parenthood is accusing the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services of intimidation.

The last clinic in Missouri will be forced to stop providing abortions this Saturday, if the state does not renew its annual license or unless the courts step in.

This news comes just days after Governor Mike Parson signed a bill that bans abortion after 8 weeks.

If the St. Louis clinic lost the ability to provide abortion services, Missouri would be the first state in the country to not have an abortion clinic since Roe v. Wade was decided by the Supreme Court in 1973.
