Missouri Attorney General Warning of Scams Ahead Of Stanley Cup Finals Games In St. Louis

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt is warning people trying to buy tickets for game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals in St. Louis tomorrow (Saturday) to be cautious of scammers.

Schmitt says ticket scalpers and scammers are more prevalent, especially during the final series.

Here are some tips to keep in mind.

Purchase tickets from reputable re-sale sites.

Be cautious about purchasing tickets on eBay, Craigslist, Amazon or any social media as often the tickets turn out to be counterfeit and there may be no way of tracing the con artist.

The Attorney General’s Office is urging anyone who has fallen victim to a scam to file a complaint online at ago.mo.gov. or call the Consumer Protection Hotline.
