Judge To Rule On Whether St. Louis Abortion Clinic Doctor’s Can Be Forced To Testify

A St. Louis Judge is hearing arguments today (Monday) on whether physicians from the state’s only abortion clinic can be forced to testify in a legal fight over the facility’s license.

The state of Missouri has issued subpoenas to staffers, former medical residents and contractors who worked at the Planned Parenthood Clinic in St. Louis.

The state health department last week refused to renew Planned Parenthood’s license over concerns with failed abortions, and compromised patient safety.

A St. Louis Judge issued a temporary restraining order against the state of Missouri just hours before the clinic’s license was set to expire on Friday.

Planned Parenthood said 2 staff doctors have agreed to interviews with health officials, however others who are contractors or no longer work at the clinic would not talk.
