Formal Charges Brought Against Men In Moberly Walmart Electronics Theft

Charges are now brought against three men after a burglary of the Moberly Walmart where over forty thousand dollars of electronics were taken.

Law enforcement says Derek Benton, Christopher Davis and Michael Strickland are all charged with First-Degree Burglary, Stealing of twenty five thousand dollars or more and First-Degree Property Damage.

According to court records the men broke into the Moberly Walmart on Sunday, July 21st around 2 in the morning and filled a laundry basket taken from the store with boxes from the electronics department that had about 40 Iphones.

The men then left through a fire exit and got into a car waiting outside.

A car pursuit later entered Montgomery County where the men fled into a corn field and were eventually arrested.
