Jefferson City Board Of Education Fires Woman Over Data Security Breach

A woman accused of a data security breach while working for the Jefferson City Public Schools is now fired.

An official decision by the Jefferson City Board Education was handed down on Friday to fire Tammy Ferry.

At the time of the security breach in January, Ferry was working as an instructional technology coordinator with the school district.

Ferry apparently transferred thousands of district files to a personal account without permission.

She was placed on administrative leave in February.

According to reports Ferry is now pursuing a civil case against the Jefferson City School District.
