No Threat At Columbia Walmart

An incident at a Columbia Walmart yesterday (Thursday) afternoon has turned out to be a misunderstanding.

Police went to the Walmart on Conley Road after people reported that 2 men wearing body armor had entered the store.

According to a spokesperson for the city of Columbia neither of the men were actually wearing body armor.

One man was wearing pants with multiple pockets and the other man was wearing a vest.

The 2 men are said to have cooperated with officers and allowed a search of their car, were no weapons were found.
