Parsons Will Seek Reelection

Missouri Republican Governor Mike Parson is announcing that he will run for reelection.

Parson made it official yesterday (Sunday) making the announcement close to his cattle ranch in Bolivar.

Parson took over in June last year (2018) when Eric Greitens resigned the position due to facing potential impeachment over alleged campaign finance violations and sexual misconduct in connection to an extramarital affair.

Jim Neely, a state representative from Cameron, will challenge Parson for the Republican nomination.

Democrat Auditor Nicole Galloway is seeking her party’s nomination to run for governor.
