Woman Accused In Death Of Young Boy Released From Jail

A woman facing charges in the death of a young boy in Jefferson City is now out of jail.

According to the Cole County Sheriff’s Office, Quatavia Givens bonded out of jail yesterday (Wednesday) morning.

A judge lowered her original bond of one hundred thousand dollars, and gave her a list of conditions to be met while out of jail.

Givens is accused in the death 4 year old Darnell Gray late last year. She reported the boy missing on October 25th, his body was found several days later, and an autopsy showed he died from blunt and sharp force trauma.

Givens next court hearing is scheduled for October 29th
